Stellantis says suspends its car plant in Russia’s Kaluga

MOSCOW, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Transnational car producer Stellantis that owns 14 car brands, including Citroen, Opel, and Peugeot, will suspend its car plant in Russia’s Kaluga because of  the Western sanctions and problems with logistics, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

The company will take all the possible measures to comply with the international sanctions and protect its employees, Stellantis said.

The Kaluga plant is the only Stellantis’ plant in Russia that produces component parts for cars.
